I celebrate the makers, the doers, the ones who against the odd and reason push ahead and create something from nothing. In a land of consumers they produce, they make the clothes we wear, the music we listen to, the movies we watch and the books we read. Without the makers we would still be naked living in caves, yet somehow these makers don’t often get the credit they deserve. It’s the makers who have made our culture and society, who have made our science and religion, they built our nations and wrote the constitutions. Humans are unique in the animal kingdom because we can make, we can build, we can create and that has evolved us. What have you made lately? Make something today. Be a maker.
